2024 10 Year Retirement Account Projections

We've all seen the simple retirement tools that work based on "contribute x amount every month for y years at r interest and you'll have z amount at retirement." But what if you can't reliably plan to contribute the same amount of money every month for multiple years? What if your access to different types of retirement accounts changes? What if you want to know how a few years of heavy investing and a few years of light investing look?

This tool addresses ALL of that!

After putting in your current account values, you can manipulate your contributions by account and rates of return for the next 10 years. Tables at the bottom of the tool allow you to sort your final numbers so you know how much you'll have in different types of accounts (traditional vs. Roth, employer vs. personal) to allow for tax planning. They will also show you the value of each year's contributions added to the previous years at your determined early retirement age and traditional retirement age so you can anticipate after which year's contributions you'll reach CoastFI, LeanFI, FIRE, etc.
